About Oxgangs Care
Oxgangs Care began in 1992 with a simple goal: to combat loneliness by fostering connections within our community. What started as a small initiative has since evolved into a registered Day Centre also providing a Befriending service, for those aged 60 and over in the EH13 and parts EH10 areas of Edinburgh.

We work closely with local residents, voluntary organisations and public services to empower older adults in Oxgangs and the surrounding neighbourhoods. Our aim is to support those facing challenges like illness, disability, or caregiving responsibilities, helping them to achieve their personal aspirations and stay actively involved in the community.

At Oxgangs Care, inclusivity is at the heart of what we do. We are dedicated to honouring and accommodating the diverse cultural, religious, and gender needs of everyone who joins our service.
